We sing sacred and folk music from around the world
We are a mixed-voice choir whose members share an enthusiasm for singing a wide range of music, mostly a capella. Our diverse repertoire includes a large number of foreign folk songs, adding an international flavour to our concerts. As well as performing in support of many charities both locally and further afield, we have taken part in major music festivals and, had tours to Germany and Slovakia in 2011 and 2013, Belgium in 2015 and Spain in 2017.
Our inspirational leader is Helen Tuck who has many years' experience in both teaching and singing music of all types, and loves all of it.
If you are interested in joining, would like us to sing at an event or have any other queries please contact us, we'd love to hear from you.
Why not listen to us in concert at St George's Church, Wash Common.
and our renditions of Plovi Plovi and Maori Maria produced during the covid-19 restrictions.
21 June 2020 - Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all choir events have had to be suspended. We are hoping to be back in action later in the year based on government advice. Please check back here for the latest information.
Chritmas is a wonderful time for the choir, singing at Highclere Castle, Camp Hopson and many other venues in the Newbury area. We perform traditional carols and Christmas music perfect to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
Christmas in 2020 has been like nothing we have experienced before with all our normal activities cancelled. There was no Highclere, Camp Hopson or visits to local care homes to give cheer to everyone. We therefore had to get creative and organised three socially distanced carol singing sessions in Wash Common and raised over £600 for local charities. We also recorded virtual recordings of My Lord what a Morning, Away in a Manger, Joy to the World and Silent Night.
They are available to watch here and hope you enjoy them.
